SECOND EDITION OF ASIA'S PREMIER OPTICAL AND EYEWEAR FAIR

 

After a successful launch last year with over 250 brands and 2,175 trade visitors, the 2nd edition of SILMO Singapore, Asian edition of the flagship optical and eyewear tradeshow, returns from 24 to 26 April 2024 at Level 4, Suntec Singapore Exhibition and Convention Centre.

This year, we are expecting more than 3,000 optometrists, dispensing opticians and buying groups from Singapore and the rest of Asia with over 7,000 sqm of exhibition space, featuring the latest eyewear, optical products and technologies.

Augmenting the exhibition, SILMO Singapore is continuing its commitment to support and inspire visitors by featuring three unique spaces that explore future trends and innovation in the eyewear and eyecare sector.

FUTUROLOGY examines the theme of techno-responsibility through the lens of innovations and trends that will gradually shape the future of optics and eyewear. SILMO Trends showcases the trends and novelties in 2024 and how design is shaped by our environment and society while SILMO Talks delves into understanding clients, professional frame adjustments and ocular well-being.

SILMO Academy, a 3-day conference that will be held concurrently with the tradeshow and targeted at optometrists and opticians, provides an opportunity for the delegates to garner key insights and best practices from renowned experts across the globe. SILMO Academy will explore topics curated by the International Opticians Association (IOA) such as Contact Lenses, Under 45s, Over 45s and Ocular Health & Patient Well-Being. CPE points are also applicable for those that are eligible.

The fact that so many international opinion leaders, eyecare experts and vision scientists have responded positively and with enthusiasm to support the event is a testament to its credibility and growing appeal. We have worked hard, based on feedback from last year’s event, to bring themes which are of interest or concern to delegates. I am very much looking forward to meeting colleagues in April for a fruitful exchange.”
